These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CyberShorts mobile application and related services (the "Service"), provided by CyberShorts ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
CyberShorts is a mobile app that aggregates cybersecurity and technology news into short, swipeable cards organized by category, and lists security-related events such as conferences and CTF competitions. Each story links back to its original third-party source, and each event listing links to its original organizer.
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service — including specific features, categories, or event listings — at any time, with or without notice.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
Browsing the feed and event listings does not require an account. Creating an account — needed to save stories, RSVP to events, or manage your profile — requires accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at cybershorts.cs@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
When using the Service, you agree not to:
We may suspend or terminate access for any account that violates this section.
Stories displayed in CyberShorts are aggregated from third-party publishers and remain the property of their respective owners; CyberShorts does not claim ownership of, verify the complete accuracy of, or guarantee the continued availability of that content. Event listings (including CTFs, conferences, and meetups) are provided by their respective organizers — CyberShorts is not the organizer, does not manage registration, and is not responsible for any event's content, safety, cancellation, or outcome. Registering for an event through a link in the app means you are dealing directly with that event's organizer under their own terms.
The CyberShorts name, logo, app design, and underlying software are the property of CyberShorts and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except for the limited right to use the app for its intended personal purpose, these Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, branding, or software.
The Service may display advertisements from third-party partners. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or for any products or services advertised through the Service.
The Service, including all news content and event listings, is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including — to the fullest extent permitted by law — warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any story, event listing, or third-party link will be accurate, complete, or current at the time you view it.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CyberShorts and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of — or inability to use — the Service, including reliance on any third-party news content or event listing. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
You may request deletion of your account at any time from the app's Settings screen. Once requested, we process account deletion within 7 working days; until then, the app continues to work normally.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or abusive behavior, or created risk or legal exposure for us.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a revision takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
